Submitting strains to the Center

The Tetrahymena Stock Center is now accepting strain deposits. Strains will be accepted based on potential usefulness to the Tetrahymena research and teaching community. As stocks come in and are secured in the Stock Center freezers, they will be listed in the database and made publicly available. Those wishing to deposit Tetrahymena strains for archiving and distribution to the Tetrahymena community should contact us for detailed information, but the basic deposition procedure is outlined on the pages below.

• Deposition of strains pre-frozen in liquid nitrogen (5 strains or fewer)
  (Please use the donor PDF for these.)
  
  
• Deposition of large strain collections pre-frozen in liquid nitrogen
  (Please use the field names in the donor Excel file.)
  
  
• Deposition of non-frozen, growing cells
