Field Names for Strain Submissions
For your convenience, we have created an Excel file with the field names as the header.
Please use HTML tags to format the genetic information correctly. "Δ" (without the quotes) represents the Greek character Δ. Surround subscripted text with the tags and superscripted text with .
For example, you would enter btu2-2[Δ1-40] as btu2-2[Δ1-40].

StrainName
This should be short and as informative as possible. Past convention has used initials to indicate place of origin for inbred laboratory strains followed by a unique number for each strain, e.g. CU428; IA 222; SB3515. Wild type strains have generally been named by the strain variant followed by a number e.g. B2086. If a strain has been mentioned in a publication by a specific designation, please list the name used in the publication.
