OriginLanlan Yu
PublicationsWei Y, Mizzen CA, Cook RG, Gorovsky MA, Allis CD. 1998. Phosphorylation of histone H3 at serine 10 is correlated with chromosome condensation during mitosis and meiosis in tetrahymena. Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A 95(13):7480-4.

Wei Y, Yu L, Bowen J, Gorovsky MA, Allis CD. 1999. Phosphorylation of histone H3 is required for proper chromosome condensation and segregation. Cell 97(1):99-109.
CommentsSerine 10 and 28 were mutated to Ala in the coding region of the HHT2 gene. Then the mutated HHT2 gene with its flanking neo marker was transformed into ∆HHT1. Can grow in 100mg/ml paromomycin. Southern blot not yet done to see if complete.

From the Gorovsky lab, University of Rochester. This strain has been cataloged by the Stock Center but not thawed.
